Jay MatsuedaAugust 26, 2024Avid collectors and rabid fans, these decades since, have been eagerly awaiting a day that seemed it would never come – release of otherwise unobtainable, unheard, private recordings that reveal the fascinating journey that is The Police song development. The varied Sting demos & Police outtakes and alt mixes truly offer insight into the level of finish the tunes had from the onset from a compositional standpoint, while underscoring the profound contributions that Andy and Stewart made to the tunes stylistically, to create an unmistakable Police sound. Can't wait till we see MORE MORE MORE of these kinds of Deluxe releases, as well as (pretty please) an expansion CD that includes anything (such as 'Loch' Sting demo, etc.) which may not have made the cut on this brilliant and massive edition...... Thank you to the band and the label for this 'love letter' to the fans!

It is something eternal and simply a masterpiece. The Police forever. I recommend it to everyone who can... buy it, it's historic.

David WallAugust 7, 2024Great collection from their seminal album. The demo's are fun and the alternate versions are very cool 40 years later. And even though Stewart swore that "Message in a Box" was their full catalogue, he still managed to find a few tracks that didn't make the cut! (I'm guessing there are still a few more laying around in some box in his basement!)

Mike LomenzoAugust 7, 2024The Police is my favorite band and this box set is very well done. It was interesting to hear the demo versions as well as outtakes. I had heard most of the live tracks and the Oakland show is one of the best from that ‘83 tour. The photos were a nice touch and packaging was well done. Great job!
